REMEMBERING THE FALLEN OF WW1

Born in St Mary's, Glamorgan, Wales in 1894.

His parents were William Dundas Green(1862-1920) and Mary Davies(born in 1871).

He had 3 brothers; Thomas John(born in 1892),Brinley(1899-1956) and Trevor(born in 1901).

He also had 3 sisters; Elizabeth(born in 1891),

Violet(born in 1896) and lily(born in 1911).

In the 1901 census , the family were recorded as living at 7 Pentre Mawr Road Pentre Estyll Swansea  and Williams father   was employed as a labourer at a

copper and electric department.

In the 1911 census, all the details were the same except William was now employed as a riser in a tin works.

He enlisted in Swansea and was killed in action on 01/07/1916.

He was awarded the 1914-1918 British War and Allied Victory medals.
