Born in Headington,Oxford in 1893.
In the 1901 census he is recorded living with his father,Charles Henry Bickerton Hudson
(05-08-1861-11-12-1937),a clergyman with the
Church of England and his mother Caroline Elizabeth 1867-09/1949 (nee Mills (married 1887))
at 37a St Giles Road Oxford.
He was a Commoner of Magdalen College Oxford.
He served in Salonika with 11th Battalion Worcestershire Regiment before entering France in 11/1915 with the
3rd Battalion Worcestershire Regiment.
He was awarded a Military Cross for an attack on the enemy trenches on 02-05-1917 in which a German machine gun was captured.His award was recorded in the London Gazette on 26-07-1917,but sadly he had already been killed in action on 07-06-1917.
In his will he left his effects of £271 3s 2d(worth today £21,280.81) to William Herbert Bagnall(a gentleman).*
