Born in Ballymacarrett,County Down in 1891.
In the Irish census recorded on 02-04-1911,he is recorded as living with his father,Robert Harvey,a general labourer and his mother Rachel (nee Savage(married 1871))
on Castle Street,Bangor Co.Down.
He also had 5 brothers,Andrew(born 1876),Hugh(born 30-08-1877),William(born 1883),Alexander(born 1885) and John (born 1897).
He also had 3 sisters,Maggie(born 22-02-1880),Sarah(born 1890) and Anna(born 1894).
In 1911 Robert was employed as a shop assistant.
He enlisted in Belfast and was killed in action on 07-06-1917.
