Born at 505 Springburn Road, Glasgow, Lanarkshire on 21/05/1890m at 10.30am.
His parents were John Cooper Wilson (1861-06/05/1912) and Mary Mckenzie Beaton( Born in 1856). They married on 04/01/1883.
Joh had 2 sisters, Catherine Fraser( born 03/11/1883) and Annie Isabella(06/06/1895-2006).
In the 1901(Scottish) census the family were recorded as living at 19 Belmont Road in Aberdeen. Johns father was employed as a mechanical engineer.

John joined his unit in France on 01/06/1916
He was killed in action on 13/11/1916.

Sec.-Lieut. J. A. Wilson, Gordons.
Sec.-Lieut. John A. Wilson, Gordon Highlanders, has fallen in action. His death occurred on the 13th inst. He was the only son of the late Mr John Wilson engineer 17 Belmont Road Aberdeen and was about 26 years old. Educated at Aberdeen University, he graduated M.A. in 1913 and afterwards held scholastic appointments in the south of Scotland, but in 1914 went to Fraserburgh. He continued in the service of the School Board there until spring of last year when he enlisted. He was commissioned this year and had only recently gone to the front.
John was awarded the British War 1914-1918 and the Allied Victory medals
