Born in Birmingham in 1895. He was baptised on 21/08/1895.
His parents were Thomas Henry Clark(born in 1870) and Ellen Berry(born in 1876).They married in 1893.
Thomas had a brother Alfred (born on 10/08/1899) and a sister Violet(born in 1898).
In the 1901 census, the family were recorded as living on Bacchus Road, Winston Green, Birmingham. Thomas snr was employed as a labourer/bricklayer.
He enlisted in Birmingham and his date of disembarkation into France was on 27/07/1915.
He was killed in action on 01/07/1916.
He was awarded the 1914-1915 Star,
the 1914-1918 British War and Allied Victory medals.
His father was a warded a pension for 7/- 6d a week from 01/09/1917 to 11/02/1920.
